ECHOES

Mini doc-series by Lillian Rosa and Julian Neville

A remote, forbidding corner of Los Angeles brought forth a cutting-edge experimental electronic music scene, whose influence can be heard in contemporary music all over the world to this day. Some of today’s greatest stars emerged from the scene surrounding the Low End Theory Club (2006-2018) and what became known as the Beat Scene.

ECHOES tells the story of how the Beat Scene arose, and the friendships and insider relationships that developed within it. Into what kind of cosmic jungle are the seeds of this jewel in music history growing now?
